Investing in Build to Rent has been gathering momentum in recent years, as more stock has been developed and as more buildings have opened and delivered results. In this session, we will explore how BTR has performed over the lockdown; with stats form the US and the UK. How has this asset compared with other sectors, such as retail and commercial, and what is the current sentiment of investors? What is the perception of multifamily as a long term asset? Who is investing and on what basis? Have the risks of development softened as the market matures?
Once again we have a brilliant panel to discuss this topic and to share their wisdom! Katie Rogers is Financial Director at Telford Homes - who have an impressive track record in developing BTR; Andrew Saunderson - Investment Director at Grainger, has made some major acquisitions and has £850m to invest; Johnny Caddick - heads up MODA, an exciting premium brand being developed on scale, and, finally, Rebecca Taylor - Managing Director of BTR at Long Harbour - a major investor with their own BTR management operation (Way of Life.). Our Chair is the highly experienced Simon Scott - a key advisor on residential investments at JLL .
